About the Oyster 54 Sailboat

The Oyster 54 is a 54-foot bluewater cruising yacht designed by Rob Humphreys and built by Oyster Marine in the UK from 2005 through 2013 as the successor to the Holman & Pye-designed Oyster 53. The hull is significantly lighter than its predecessor thanks to a cored topsides structure, carbon fibre and Kevlar reinforcements, and a deep bulb keel that lowers the center of gravity. Rigged as a masthead sloop with a powerful Seldén rig and electric primary winches, the 54 is equally at ease on long trade-wind passages and coastal cruising grounds. Standard and shoal draft options, a center-cockpit layout with full-beam owner's stateroom aft, and Oyster's signature build quality make it a fixture of the Oyster World Rally fleet and the broader bluewater market.
