About the Amel Super Maramu Sailboat

The Amel Super Maramu is a 53-foot ketch built by the French yard Amel from 1989 to 2005, with 497 hulls completed. Designed by Henri Amel as an evolution of the original Maramu, the Super Maramu is a center-cockpit bluewater cruiser renowned for its integrated systems approach: furling on all sails, in-mast reefing, hard dodger, and a single-line reefing system that allows one person to handle the entire sail plan from the cockpit. The full keel with skeg-hung rudder provides excellent directional stability on long passages. At nearly 36,000 lbs displacement and with 158 gallons of fuel, the Super Maramu is a true passagemaker. An active global owners' community and Amel's reputation for build quality keep resale values strong.
