The Nelson/Marek 55 — also produced as the Schock 55 after W.D. Schock acquired the molds — is a 1990s grand-prix racing keelboat designed by Bruce Marek of the Nelson/Marek firm. The hull features a raked stem, sharply reverse transom, deep fin keel with bulb, and an internally mounted spade rudder. A masthead sloop rig drives the boat through the water at hull speeds approaching 9 knots. Geraghty Marine built two boats as the Nelson/Marek 55 and W.D. Schock Corp. then built two more as the Schock 55, with all four hulls completed between 1990 and 1991.
