About the Island Packet 460 Sailboat

The Island Packet 460 is a center-cockpit bluewater cutter designed by Bob Johnson and built by Island Packet Yachts of Largo, Florida beginning in 2007, offering a larger platform than the aft-cockpit 445 with an expanded aft owner''s stateroom and increased tankage for extended offshore voyaging. At 48.75 feet LOA with a displacement of 32,000 pounds and Johnson''s signature full-foil keel profile at a shoal draft of 5 feet, the 460 provides exceptional range and comfort for world cruising while retaining access to shallower anchorages. The 1,148-square-foot cutter rig delivers a sail area/displacement ratio of 18.22, giving the boat more spirited performance than typical of the Island Packet line. The 460 has completed numerous offshore passages and circumnavigations and is regarded as a premier production bluewater cruiser for serious passage-makers.
