About the Bavaria 42 Cruiser Sailboat

The Bavaria 42 Cruiser is a mid-sized volume cruiser designed by J&J Design and built by Bavaria Yachts in Germany from 2005 to around 2013. As part of Bavaria's "Cruiser" line launched in the mid-2000s, the 42 offered large owners and charter operators modern styling, excellent interior volume, and three or four cabin layouts at an aggressive price point. Shoal and standard draft keels were available, and the masthead rig with large roller-furling genoa made her straightforward to sail shorthanded. The 42 Cruiser has been a regular entry on the ARC thanks to its combination of accommodation space, reasonable passage performance, and affordability.
