Found at Flathead Lake, Montana in dry storage — this 1995 Catalina 270 LE has been sailed only a handful of times by two previous owners. The hull carries its original gelcoat bottom, never touched by barrier coat or antifouling paint. The bottom still shines.
After bringing her home to Boulder City, Nevada, a three-month reconditioning project was completed: new fresh water lines and tank cleaning, water heater connected for the first time, sanitized holding tank, new coolant system flush, new upper hull stripes, sanded and ceramic-coated deck and hull sides, re-upholstered interior with rose wood oil on the teak, LED lighting throughout. Running rigging has been replaced or cleaned. Cockpit cushions in near-perfect condition.
The Catalina 270 was a significant upgrade over the 27 when introduced in 1993 — more beam, better headroom (5'9"), a step-through sugar-scoop transom, double spreader sloop rig with full-batten main and furling jib, and a roomy L-shaped galley with teak trim and 5 opening hatches.
